MUDDY ROOTS NIGHT- Americana Blues Trash Folk and Booze
MOLLY GENE (USA/Warrensburg)
A hot one Whoaman Trash Blues Performer
What does “One Whoaman Band” mean? Well, you’ve got to hear and see Molly Gene in action to really understand what this label means. From her earth-shaking foot drum stomps to her distorted guitar slides that recall blues, heavy metal, and a whole lot more in between, this Missouri-based singer-songwriter is bringing independence to a whole new level.
Molly first started to write and perform her own music while in high school. She turned her musical hobbies into a career when she was just 20. Now, with seven years of writing, performing, and constant touring under her belt, she has turned into one of the most promising voices of today’s budding One Person Band scene.
Be sure to check out Molly Gene: One Whoaman Band. Whether you see her in a dive bar, an arena, or just busking on the streets of your hometown, you’re sure to be blown away by this truly original “Delta Thrasher.”
Molly Gene One Whoaman Band has been performing solo for the last seven years or so, recording and issuing albums (five to date), and organizing endless tours that eventually got her noticed in Europe.
Finally, after touring Europe and recording a live disc in Switzerland she came home to roost a few years ago, but continued to ramble. All of this is not that atypical except for the particular musical species that Molly Gene has cultivated.
Her sound is a raucous, bluesy map of her journey so far.
FREIGHT TRAIN RABBIT KILLER (USA/Kansas)
Dark and Gloomy Americana Delta Trash Blues
The duo Freight Train Rabbit Killer is nothing less than an american roots opera. A shaman of the hills and a vigilante bent on justice set to heavy rhythmic juke and trance song. They deliver on the spiritual and the profane, redemption and loss.
The band formed in Kansas City, Missouri and plays all live performances in custom built masks, outfits, and multi instrumental.
Definitely „a must see“!
